Are you afraid of being vulnerable?
Were you raised to believe that vulnerability equals weakness?
Same.
I was told: “Don’t show them your soft side. Don’t let them see you cry. Don’t expose yourself.”
But I’ve learned something along my journey that completely flipped that narrative:
Vulnerability is true strength.
It takes way more courage to be open than it does to stay guarded.
Yikes… just sit with that.
I think about that scene in 8 Mile, when Eminem’s character B-Rabbit goes first in the final rap battle and just lays it all out:
“I am white. I do live in a trailer with my mom. I am a bum.”
And guess what?
He wins, because no one could use anything against him anymore.
That’s what being vulnerable does.
You take your power back.
You stop running.
You say, “Here I am, flaws and all.”
And suddenly, the fear dissolves.
I’m always exposing myself. Not for attention, but for liberation.
When you stop trying to be perfect, and you start showing up as your real self, you begin to feel light again.
Like, Hallelujah… Amen!
Next time your mind says “You could be exposed,” I want you to remember this:
When you expose yourself first, they can’t use it against you.
That’s how you win the battle.
So show your scars. Share your stories. Speak your truth.
You are not weak. You are divinely powerful.
I love you all very much.
Keep shining.
