Some stories are too powerful to keep to ourselves. This is one of them.
My grand-aunt on my father’s side, Mercedes Maria Feblez, known lovingly in our family as Mecho, was born on July 4th. She was a radiant soul, small in stature but full of warmth and love. Everyone knew her as the one who could knit magic into anything, but more than that, she was known for her kindness. According to my brother Mitch, she passed away bedridden… but I’ve come to learn her spirit never left.
About three months ago, during one of my meditation mediumship circles, something extraordinary happened.
A vision appeared before me, Mecho. Petite. Smiling. Gently knitting. And more than anything, helping. She radiated a calm, supportive energy. I felt her soul speak, and what she expressed moved me to tears. She told me how proud she is of my healing since my mother passed. She said I’m not alone, that I’m part of a consciousness family, guided by beings in the non-physical.
And then, as clearly as if someone whispered in my ear, I heard:
“Cancer… 4.”
I mentioned it to my brother. Without hesitation, he said, “That was Mecho.”
She had passed from cancer. The number 4 had personal meaning we both recognized.
That moment solidified everything I’ve come to believe about Spirit:
Consciousness doesn’t end. It expands. It watches. It guides.
Now, Mecho is with me in a way that transcends time and space.
She is one of my guardian angels, a gentle voice I hear during meditation, a warmth I feel when I’m about to make a big decision.
If you’ve ever doubted that our loved ones can still reach...
